Snow in Apache Junction

Yes, it actually snowed in Apache Junction on 12-30-10 Michelle and I had stopped at Circle K for a POP, and when she came out it was snowing, we ran home to get camera and of course it was not snowing at my house, so we jumped back in the car and headed toward Canyon Lake to try and catch the dark clouds, they kept moving and we never actually caught back up to the snow, But it was beautiful and gorgeous. Snow in Apache Junction what a great end to the year.

Christmas 2010

Had a great day spending time with family and playing games. Picked up grandma Hall and brought her over for dinner and the afternoon. Merry Christmas everyone

Christmas Eve 2010

We decided that those that could be there to spend some time with Grandma Hall were to meet at Golden Corral on Power and McKellips at 3:45 The plan was to pay for lunch and stay for dinner at 4:00. Boy were we fooled. They closed the doors 4:00 so we only had the food that was available. But at least they let us stay and eat and spend time together we were the last ones out. Grandma Hall was good that night and seemed to love every minute of her time with her family. It was a good evening

Home In Kentucky

It was great having them home for a month. Then I got to make an unexpected trip with them 1750 miles in 2 and half days to go to Kentucky. We traveled thru AZ, NM, TX, OK, MO, IL KY and TN. We had a great time. Monika and I followed Michael in the Budget truck until we reached St. Louis and picked up her car and then had a caravan of three vehicles going to Fort Campbell. Then three days of house hunting. This is the house they finally settled on. Thank Goodness they decided to move in after I was already home and I got out of the moving process. They are now getting settled and seem to be enjoying it. They are getting to know their way around and starting to meet people there. Boy do I miss them.

Flag Pole down

I guess the flag pole could not stand up to the wind either. It bend at the rocks and cracked the rocks and ripped the flag as it was caught on the windmill

Storm Damage

We had a huge storm that took out the back of the boathouse. Thank Goodness it bkew it out the back and not onto the boat.It was made of tin and 2 X 4's and has lasted for 10 years. So I guess it could not hold up to the wind.

Granny's walk

Granny has decided that walking is dangerous to your health. She and the sidewalk met this morning and the sidewalk won. She had to drag herself across the ground and pull herself up on the fence. Then some nice stanger came by and took her home. We have spent the day in the ER. They are doing surgery tomorrow morning to repair the two broken bones. Just glad that she is doing okay and able to laugh about it.

New Pantry

Wow, what a way to get new shelves in the pantry. Thursday night I decised to clean and organize the pantry, I was almost done and sitting on the floor cleaning the bottom and organizing when all of a sudden the shelf came tumbling down hitting the others on its way down. Cans falling all over me, hitting and attacking me. But I came away with no side effects. But, I now have new shelves. Donald and Michelle spent Friday and part of Saturday putting up new shelves. It looks so nice now. Thanks Donald and Michelle

Granny's Surprise Birthday Party

Michelle gave her Family Home Evening and we had a surprise (Early) Birthday for Granny, we had spaghetti and cheesecake with "75" on it. Yes she is "75" on July 21st. We played games and had a great time.

A labor of "LOVE"

It took almost a year, but it was worth it. We all know how Granny love Nativity's. So I saw this pattern for a tree skirt so I started it and just gave it to her for her Birthday.

Mother's Day

I love Mother's Day. I truly am blessed to have three of the best, most wonderful children. God truly showered the greatest joy on me when he sent me these three wonderful children. I love them so much, even thou at times they think I am just an old mean woman. I am also blessed to have the best husband and father for my kids. I am also blessed for having a great example of a mother in my life. Love you all.
