Christmas Time at the Halls

We love to Decorate our yard and paint wood crafts to put up, it has been a family tradition for years. Michelle and Donald used to spend the morning of Thanksgiving in the garage painting a new item for the garage and then we would put it up in the yard the day after Thanksgiving. It now has developed into a much longer and more than one a year project. What great family memories

"Shower Time"

Shelby and Lucky love to take showers. You put Shelby in the bathroom with the shower on and she heads straight for the shower, Lucky takes a little push, but they both look so clean and shiny when they are done. Then of the course we have to clean all the hair out of the shower and hose down the walls. But it is worth it to get clean dogs.

Michelle's New Adventure

It all happened on Saturday night the 9th of August, Michelle woke us up at 11:30 with severe pains in her right side, so I went to her house to check on her. and a half hour later we are off to the emergency room, which for a Saturday night or early Sunday morning which ever way you want to look at it, was not busy and they got her right in and said that she had a "BAD GALL BLADDER" which needed to come out, so they took it out on Sunday afternoon and she came home later that night and has been recovering this week and hopes to go back to work on Monday. So what an adventure. But she is doing good.

We are happy to say that Donald was able to return to work on July 7th.. After almost 7 months and much help from doctors and therapy he is doing better. He will probably always have the new limp that has come with this MRSA, but if he alive and still with us, so that we will are truly thankful to our Heavenly Father for hearing and answers the many prayers that were offered on his behalf. He is not totally thrilled to return to work, he did get accustom to the retirement life and looks forward to the day in 3 years that if will come for good. HOBO'S TOGETHER

We had a ward "Empty Nesters" party a couple of weeks ago. These are a couple of the Hall Hobo's. Enjoyed a Hobo Dinner and good times around a campfire in a neighbor's yard. As you can see Donald is able to get out and have a little fun.

Donald Recovery

Donald is doing much better, He is off IV's and doing Physical Therapy. He is able to walk with a cane and throw that old silver walker away. It is hard to believe it has been three months since all this started but he is getting each and every day. He even got to go fishing last weekend and caught a 4 lb cat fish. Michelle, Monika, Debbi and Donald had a great time

Donald is home and taking it easy. He has IV Therphy two times a day. (I guess Debbi missed her calling, she is learning to be a nurse). He uses a walker to get around. But is getting stronger everyday. We are just so glad to have him home and still with us. We thank our Heavenly Father every day.

Donald's Recovery

Donald is currently in the hospital recovering from an infection known as MRSA. He had Knee Scoping on December 21st to clean out the Arthritis. He was admitted to the Hospital on Friday January 11th. He is being administered strong antibiotics. We hope to have him home soon. He will be out of work for up to 6 months and have a home care nurse coming in daily to give him antibiotics once he is at home.
