Donald is Home

Donald is home and taking it easy. He has IV Therphy two times a day. (I guess Debbi missed her calling, she is learning to be a nurse). He uses a walker to get around. But is getting stronger everyday. We are just so glad to have him home and still with us. We thank our Heavenly Father every day.

Donald's Recovery

Donald is currently in the hospital recovering from an infection known as MRSA. He had Knee Scoping on December 21st to clean out the Arthritis. He was admitted to the Hospital on Friday January 11th. He is being administered strong antibiotics. We hope to have him home soon. He will be out of work for up to 6 months and have a home care nurse coming in daily to give him antibiotics once he is at home. We miss having him at home and want him to know that he is missed and loved. HURRY HOME

Shelby our youngest daughter has had a few health issues this last month. It is amazing what we will do for her. She as worked her way these last years into our hearts. After many tests and an overnight stay in the hospital she was diagnosed with Tick Fever. She will be on daily medicine. She is such a smart thing that we could not imagine our lives without her. She is 7 years old and we spend just A FEW dollars on getting her well, but in the last couple of weeks she has regained 7 of the 12 pounds that she lost. We are glad to have her regaining her health. WE love you Shelby

Dedicated To Grandpa Hall (his birthday is Aug. 31st)

Dad
My Dad was a true cowboy.
He had Sambo, his horse, his favorite toy.
Had had a tractor and his fields he would plow,
Getting up early for chores and milking the cow.
He had barns, corrals, and fences to mend,
But his standards and morals he would never bend.
He loved to hoe weeds and irrigate.
Make water run uphill and build the best gate.
Took pride in how things would look
At night he would always read some book.
Drove cows, tractors, and trucks with trailers.
Worked the fields, combining, plowing and using hay bailers.
Rode horses and punched cows, never riding a bull.
Only to say that bull riding was for a fool.
Raised our own meat, milk, eggs, and crops.
Even had dogs and pigs for pork chops.
He could brand calves, make a loop and rope.
He never would from anyone take any dope.
He was a man, rancher, father and preacher,
That man I call dad was even the best school teacher.
Tired to teach me all he knew when I was a lad.
Don't think I'll ever fill his shoes, My Wonderful Dad.
-Donald Hall

Dad's Poetry (We love Potty Humor)

The Throne

Here I sit on my throne thinking of all my glory.
Trying to make up another tall tale, another story.
Is this throne made of porcelain or stone?
Either way, it's chilling my butt bone.
I think of others having sat here too
All just thinking of things they need to do.
I write, push a little, push more and read.
Hoping that this ordeal will end, yes indeed.
How much toilet paper do you use?
Is it enough or small enough to make a fire cracker fuse?
Me, I use enough to make a pillow.
I've even had to use the bark of a willow.
Do you give others a relief flush?
Me, I don't. I just let the stink build up and make everyone blush.
Do you read the newspaper and then use it?
I have. When there is no tissue on the roll except for a little bit.
Well here's to you my glory seat.
One last flush until other time when we meet.
