These are some images of the Wallow Fire that has affected Nutrioso and Alpine. It got a little to close to our property for our liking but at least everything is safe. There is some signs of new life in the making saw some eggs ready to hatch and lots of elk in Alpine. Still signs of smoke on the mountains and helicopters getting water out of Luna Lake. Thank you firefighters for all your efforts.

Wow, what a great time Donald, Michelle, and Debbi cruised to the Mexican Rivera. It was relaxing and restful and we saw a lot of beautiful country but also poor country. The bad villages in Mexico were very poor, but the people were so friendly and happy. It was hard to come back and get back to reality.

Fishing
May 14, 2011 at Nutrioso, we went fishing at Nelson Reservoir and Donald caught 2 fish and I caught 3, he pulled out the top fish first and I thought that was big, but then about 2o minutes later I caught the huge bottom one, weighed about 2 and half pound and about 18 inches long, WOW. It was a good day at fishing.

I love my backyard when it is all dragged and clean. Thanks quad and drag for making it look so nice and free of weeds. I finally got a patch of grass in my backyard. Thanks to Michelle that had leftovers when she finished her backyard, but then of course I wanted more so had to have Donald go and buy more grass.

Snow in Apache Junction
Yes, it actually snowed in Apache Junction on 12-30-10 Michelle and I had stopped at Circle K for a POP, and when she came out it was snowing, we ran home to get camera and of course it was not snowing at my house, so we jumped back in the car and headed toward Canyon Lake to try and catch the dark clouds, they kept moving and we never actually caught back up to the snow, But it was beautiful and gorgeous. Snow in Apache Junction what a great end to the year.

Christmas Eve 2010
We decided that those that could be there to spend some time with Grandma Hall were to meet at Golden Corral on Power and McKellips at 3:45 The plan was to pay for lunch and stay for dinner at 4:00. Boy were we fooled. They closed the doors 4:00 so we only had the food that was available. But at least they let us stay and eat and spend time together we were the last ones out. Grandma Hall was good that night and seemed to love every minute of her time with her family. It was a good evening

Home In Kentucky
It was great having them home for a month. Then I got to make an unexpected trip with them 1750 miles in 2 and half days to go to Kentucky. We traveled thru AZ, NM, TX, OK, MO, IL KY and TN. We had a great time. Monika and I followed Michael in the Budget truck until we reached St. Louis and picked up her car and then had a caravan of three vehicles going to Fort Campbell. Then three days of house hunting. This is the house they finally settled on. Thank Goodness they decided to move in after I was already home and I got out of the moving process. They are now getting settled and seem to be enjoying it. They are getting to know their way around and starting to meet people there. Boy do I miss them.

Home from Korea
After two years we have them home and after over 36 hours for them in travel time. and delays and missed connections we finally picked them up at the airport on Wednesday October 13th at 9:15 at night. It is great to have them home and be able to hug and hold them. Boy I have missed having Monika in my arms. What a joy. We are glad that they are with us and will enjoy every moment until they are off to Kentucky.

Granny's walk

Granny has decided that walking is dangerous to your health. She and the sidewalk met this morning and the sidewalk won. She had to drag herself across the ground and pull herself up on the fence. Then some nice stanger came by and took her home. We have spent the day in the ER. They are doing surgery tomorrow morning to repair the two broken bones. Just glad that she is doing okay and able to laugh about it.
New Pantry

Wow, what a way to get new shelves in the pantry. Thursday night I decised to clean and organize the pantry, I was almost done and sitting on the floor cleaning the bottom and organizing when all of a sudden the shelf came tumbling down hitting the others on its way down. Cans falling all over me, hitting and attacking me. But I came away with no side effects. But, I now have new shelves. Donald and Michelle spent Friday and part of Saturday putting up new shelves. It looks so nice now. Thanks Donald and Michelle
