33rd Anniversary
It is hard to believe that 33 years have gone by, but that is exactly it. IT HAS. Wow where did the time go. Yes, there has been rocky roads and uphills battles, but we are still together and we are growing "OLD" together. Michelle and Granny gave us a dinner surprise on Saturday and we had such a great time. It is fun to get together and play games and laugh. I love you more and more every day, Donald. Thanks for putting up with me.

WE DID IT!, WE survived, Mesa Public Schools encourged us to walk in the American Heart Walk Feb 28th at Tempe Town Lake, we did the 5K. Donald took his fishing pole and fished at the lake while we walked. It was a beautful day. They had a lot of booths set up and a stage with entertainment. it took just over an hour to walk and we had such a great time. Up hill and down hill we went. We are now ready to particiapte in one next week at Wesley Bolin Plaza with michelle's Work.
Working Hard
Michelle is learning from her dad how to cut out the designs for their side business. They are now making things for Easter and St. Patrick's Day. She learned really fast and they had a good time together even laughing over mistakes made and OOPS, in some cuts. What a good time working together having fun doing something they love.

Grandma Hall Turns "91"
Grandma Hall turns 91 on February 19, On February 14th we took her out for dinner at Golden Corral, she loved it and loved having everyone fuss over her, she was excited when they came out with a cupcake for her. WE had such a good time, she had everyone in her family there except for Monika and Michael, who are in Korea where Michael is in the Army. We missed you both and grandma really missed you. It is hard to believe she is 91, Grandma Hall we are a lucky family to have you lead us.
Family Potrait
Corey and Michelle gave Grandma Hall a Family picture for her birthday, she loved it and keep showing everyone her in the picture, It had her beloved husband, 2 children and spouses, all 6 of her grand kids, 2 grandchildren-in-laws, and 1 great grandchild, With the Salt Lake Temple in the foreground and the Superstition Mountains in the background.

Our Shelby was the light of our lives (of course after the kids left home) She lit up your live, she was fun, smart and a joy, She loved to ride quads, she loved camping, she was the keeper of the House. Every time that you let her outside she had to make sure that the rabbits and birds were out of her yard. She never knew what to do when she really caught one. She loved water, if you turned on the hose she was in the middle of it. She was the apple of her daddy's eye, she was the protector of her mommy. She loved and taught her nephew (Lucky) everything. She liked it when her Niece (Lilly) came to play. She loved to go to Dairy Queen because they gave her a cone. She also loved Walgreens, because they gave her a bone. She loved grandma and always watched out for her. The last year was one of much sickness, medicines and drugs, blood tests for Shelby. Thanks to Dr. Dickens and all of her staff that treated Shelby like their best friend and always caring for her. But on Monday January 19th, Shelby's could not hang on and her mommy and daddy had to make a very difficult decision. Shelby we love you and our hearts are broken and empty. It is not the same to come into an empty house without her greeting you at the door. Or come running everytime you get into the Frig. We miss you and you will always be in our hearts. Shelby we are the best and you are Special.

CARDINALS #1
They finally did it, In our house Donald has followed the Cardinals for years, though the good times and the bad (which seemed a lot). We are so excited for this to finally happen. SUPER BOWL here we come. It will be fun to cheer on the RED and WHITE. Even though they are going up against a very tough team in the form of Pittsburg Steelers. We will still always cheer RED and WHITE.

Happy New Year
It is that time of the year, when we all take the time to reflect on what we want out of the new year. One of my big goals for 2009 is to finish getting this weight off. I accomplished a portion of it in 2008 (55 pounds gone) but there are many more to go. Wow, what happened, it is sure harder to take off then to put on. I also accomplised in 2008 to read all 4 standard works of the church, WOW, I did it, I want to take more time in 2009 to get more scripture studying done. I find it is the best time in the morning at 4:00 AM, yes in the morning, to read for about 45 minutes then get ready to go to the gym at 5:30 for an hour then home to shower and get ready for a day of work. I want to wish you all the best of 2009 and as one sister in our ward said on Sunday, her motto for this year is "2009 is Christlike time" so I would like to remember that this year.

Christmas Time at the Halls
We love to Decorate our yard and paint wood crafts to put up, it has been a family tradition for years. Michelle and Donald used to spend the morning of Thanksgiving in the garage painting a new item for the garage and then we would put it up in the yard the day after Thanksgiving. It now has developed into a much longer and more than one a year project. What great family memories

"Shower Time"
Shelby and Lucky love to take showers. You put Shelby in the bathroom with the shower on and she heads straight for the shower, Lucky takes a little push, but they both look so clean and shiny when they are done. Then of the course we have to clean all the hair out of the shower and hose down the walls. But it is worth it to get clean dogs.

Michelle's New Adventure
It all happened on Saturday night the 9th of August, Michelle woke us up at 11:30 with severe pains in her right side, so I went to her house to check on her. and a half hour later we are off to the emergency room, which for a Saturday night or early Sunday morning which ever way you want to look at it, was not busy and they got her right in and said that she had a "BAD GALL BLADDER" which needed to come out, so they took it out on Sunday afternoon and she came home later that night and has been recovering this week and hopes to go back to work on Monday. So what an adventure. But she is doing good.

Donald Recovery
We are happy to say that Donald was able to return to work on July 7th.. After almost 7 months and much help from doctors and therapy he is doing better. He will probably always have the new limp that has come with this MRSA, but if he alive and still with us, so that we will are truly thankful to our Heavenly Father for hearing and answers the many prayers that were offered on his behalf. He is not totally thrilled to return to work, he did get accustom to the retirement life and looks forward to the day in 3 years that if will come for good. We want to thank all our family and friends for their love and support during this time. We are truly blessed to have many good friends and family that helped.

Donald Update
Donald had a visit with his doctor yesterday and he has been released to return to work on July 7th, he is progessing slowly and will probably always have the limp, but at least he is able to get around and return to work. His recovery has been a long, slow process. We are just happy to have him still with us.
