Christmas Time at the Halls
We love to Decorate our yard and paint wood crafts to put up, it has been a family tradition for years. Michelle and Donald used to spend the morning of Thanksgiving in the garage painting a new item for the garage and then we would put it up in the yard the day after Thanksgiving. It now has developed into a much longer and more than one a year project. What great family memories

"Shower Time"
Shelby and Lucky love to take showers. You put Shelby in the bathroom with the shower on and she heads straight for the shower, Lucky takes a little push, but they both look so clean and shiny when they are done. Then of the course we have to clean all the hair out of the shower and hose down the walls. But it is worth it to get clean dogs.

TIME OUT FOR WOMEN
Oh, what a wonderful experience, every woman should take the time to do this. My Mom (Granny), my daughter (Michelle) and me went to Time out for Woman on November 8th at the Civic Center. We even took our own lunch (as did most people) and ate out by the New Rail System. We were uplifted though song, and talks and thoughts, We came away with the most uplifting feeling. Next years is set for Oct 9 & 10. so prepare now to attend, It will be worth it.

The ELK HUNT

This year Corey and Michelle got drawn for elk. Donald got to be the tour guide and driver. They had a great time and for the frist time they got to have hot showers and flushing toilets, usually they get drawn in December when water has been drained at Hall's Hide-a-Away in Nutrioso. Michelle got hers on the 3rd day and Corey got his on the next to last day, so they had a week of bonding time. HOW FUN

Michelle's New Adventure
It all happened on Saturday night the 9th of August, Michelle woke us up at 11:30 with severe pains in her right side, so I went to her house to check on her. and a half hour later we are off to the emergency room, which for a Saturday night or early Sunday morning which ever way you want to look at it, was not busy and they got her right in and said that she had a "BAD GALL BLADDER" which needed to come out, so they took it out on Sunday afternoon and she came home later that night and has been recovering this week and hopes to go back to work on Monday. So what an adventure. But she is doing good.

Donald Recovery
We are happy to say that Donald was able to return to work on July 7th.. After almost 7 months and much help from doctors and therapy he is doing better. He will probably always have the new limp that has come with this MRSA, but if he alive and still with us, so that we will are truly thankful to our Heavenly Father for hearing and answers the many prayers that were offered on his behalf. He is not totally thrilled to return to work, he did get accustom to the retirement life and looks forward to the day in 3 years that if will come for good. We want to thank all our family and friends for their love and support during this time. We are truly blessed to have many good friends and family that helped.

His recovery has been a long, slow process. We are just happy to have him still with us.

Donald is Home
Donald is home and taking it easy. He has IV Therphy two times a day. (I guess Debbi missed her calling, she is learning to be a nurse). He uses a walker to get around. But is getting stronger everyday. We are just so glad to have him home and still with us. We thank our Heavenly Father every day.

Donald's Recovery
Donald is currently in the hospital recovering from an infection known as MRSA. He had Knee Scoping on December 21st to clean out the Arthritis. He was admitted to the Hospital on Friday January 11th. He is being administered strong antibiotics. We hope to have him home soon. He will be out of work for up to 6 months and have a home care nurse coming in daily to give him antibiotics once he is at home. We miss having him at home and want him to know that he is missed and loved. HURRY HOME

Shelby our youngest daughter has had a few health issues this last month. It is amazing what we will do for her. She as worked her way these last years into our hearts. After many tests and an overnight stay in the hospital she was diagnosed with Tick Fever. She will be on daily medicine. She is such a smart thing that we could not imagine our lives without her. She is 7 years old and we spend just A FEW dollars on getting her well, but in the last couple of weeks she has regained 7 of the 12 pounds that she lost. We are glad to have her regaining her health. WE love you Shelby
